Before You Apply

Do I need previous training experience?

None at all. Spartan16 is designed to meet you exactly where you are. Beginners, returning trainers, and experienced gym-goers all go through the same four phases — the weight on the bar and the pace of progression is individual to you.

Where does it take place?

All sessions are in-person at Mike Foster Fitness in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire. If you're based locally or can commute, this programme is for you.

What does the fitness testing involve?

You'll complete a structured fitness test at the start of the programme — establishing your baseline across strength, endurance, and movement. At the end of 16 weeks, you re-test. The improvement is documented, measured, and yours to keep. Benchmarks include The 300 Workout Test.

Do I have to attend all 6 sessions every week?

No. Six sessions is the maximum available — you attend what fits your schedule. Most people find a rhythm of 3–5 sessions per week and build from there. Consistency matters more than volume.

What happens after I apply?

Mike will review your application and reach out to book a short discovery call. It's a conversation — not a hard sell. We both decide whether the programme is the right fit before anything is agreed.
